In fact, when it comes to processing our many orders from export markets, he's one of our most important employees. Prior to coming to Balthasar Ress, he worked at an airfreight forwarding company. Although his work at an airport involved handling containers rather than cases of wine, monitoring and meeting deadlines was a priority there, just as it is at our estate. Originally, the 59-year-old was trained as a maintenance engineer/fitter at the Opel plant in Rüsselsheim. In the course of his working career, he has also been a truck driver. With the considerable experience he gained in these diverse positions, Franz-Jürgen Idstein has enriched our daily work here at the wine estate.
